Amber Cars:

Student Safety Scheme

LUU have been working with Amber Cars for more than a decade to bring you the Student Safety Scheme, enabling you to get home safely in an emergency.

If you find yourself stranded, with no money, during the hours of darkness you can call Amber Cars on 0113 2311 366 and ask for a taxi on the Student Safety Scheme account.

You'll need to give your Student ID Card over as payment at the end of your journey. A few days later, Amber Cars will deliver your card to the LUU Cash Office, where you can pay your fare and collect your card.

Please note: The Student Safety Scheme is not 24 hours a day and is only available during the hours of darkness if you have no money on you.
